The LOC method

So i was browsing curlynikki.com like I normally do everyday and came across the "LOC Method."
It explains that for a lot of us curlies, dry hair is a huge problem. Because of the natural curl and bend of the hair shaft, sebum (the body's natural oils that moisturize the hair) cannot properly travel down the hair shaft resulting in dry, brittle strands, especially the ends.

So with the LOC method each letter of the title makes up the steps that goes with this process:

L- Liquid (WATER or a water based product. Plain water is the only substance that can truly moisturize your hair!)

O- Oil (You can can seal in the moisture with an oil. I would prefer the thicker oils like castor oil or a butter such as raw shea butter)

C- Cream ( Last step is to put a cream over the oil and liquid)

According to the author of the post on CurlyNikki, she used this method and her hair stayed moisturized for a whole week, which is amazing because my hair barely lasts 2 days before drying up again. So I will definitely be giving this a try!!
My LOC will consist of :

Liquid- Plain WATER

Oil- Castor oil or raw shea butter

Cream- Shea moiture leave-in conditioner or Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie

I'm not a product junkie so these are literally ALL the products I use along with Giovanni's smooth as silk shampoo and Tresemme Naturals moisturzing conditioner. These products work for MY HAIR and I have remained consistent with them.

Hope this helps ladies!!

PLB!!
