As I have mentioned before, I do have some hair goals that I am working to accomplish. I'm going to set short- term goals for right now for myself because it will be easier and I won't get discouraged with a short-term goal as opposed to a long-term goal!
I started this growth journey on 8/20/11 and here is the goal that I have set:
FOR MY HAIR TO REACH ARM PIT LENGTH STRETCHED
I plan to do this by:
- Retaining length by moisturizing frequently
- Low manipulation
- Deep conditioning every time I wash
- Finger detangling and handling my hair with care
- Exercise, drinking more water and eating the proper foods
Now I did not put a time limit on this right now because I do not want to get discouraged when that time comes and I have not reached my goal.
I can say that I have seen growth since I started back in August.

(Yay!! Making some progress so far!)
Ok so those are my goals for my hair and I'm pretty excited to see how this progression will be, so I will keep you updated. For some reason it SEEMS that my hair grows a little slower than normal in some parts. The front and top of my head grows super fast while the back grows super slow. Or maybe it's just me, lol, I don't know!
But anyway, I will not do frequent length checks because I see more progress when it is spaced further apart. Since the last length check was in December, I guess I will do another one pretty soon, so be on the look out.
Oh and remember that your hair IS growing, the key is to retain the length that you already have by taking care of it (especially those ends!!!!) by moisturizing with water or a water based product and sealing in that moisture with an oil or hair butter.
PEACE!!
