The Summer Itch

I have been having the itch for a while. The itch to cut my hair! Yes a few months ago I was on this growth journey but I realized I just want to have fun with my hair and length is not so important to me anymore.

I have never had short hair before so it will be interesting to see how I would look. I have spent the last eight years since I have been natural growing my hair out and doing every kind of style that you could imagine doing with natural hair. The longer the hair, the more time consuming the process is.

So this weekend I have decided to take the plunge and cut my hair. Yes there have been a few that I have told advising me against it but in reality, they are not the ones that have to spend hours, a whole day to be exact, washing, conditioning and styling my thick head of hair so MY HAIR, MY CHOICE, MY RULES (someone had a pin that said that, lol!)
Having short hair will make it so much easier because for me it seemed like doing and maintaining my hair was taking over majority of my time and my life and to me, it's not that serious! There are much more important things in life than hair and I had to come to that realization.

So with that being said, I will be doing the BIG CHOP after eight years natural and will post pics of the results. I'm excited, nervous, and anxious but I'm ready!!
